RCB Gearing up for Champions League

RCB has announced two camps one in vizag from 25th September and one in Bangalore from 1st October as prepatory camp for Champions League. Though RCB were the finalist in the second edition of IPL,still there were lot many areas to improve ponder upon. One such area was opening combination. RCB tried few options before finalizing Kallis and Pandey at the top of the order. Combination of Youth and Experience is ideal way in this format of the game. However Uthappa at no. 7 is just complete waste, either ask him to bat at no. 3/4 or drop him and play an extra bowler. Van de Merwe and Boucher should be flexible players in terms of batting line up. They should be ask to bat whenever wicket fall in between 14-16over. So that they get enough time to hammer the bowlers in slog overs. The other problem with RCB in 2nd edition of IPL is that after winning the first match they lost quite a few before recovering at the last moment in round robin league. RCB should not repeat the same mistake again and hence its good to start new tournament aggresivley and better to continue the same. Ideal team for opening match should be:- Kallis, Pandey, Uthappa, Dravid, Taylor, Kohli, Boucher,Van de Merwe, Praveen Kumar, Kumble, vinay Kumar.Later in the tournament if most of the batsmen are in good form and bowling is a problem RCB can replace Steyn with Taylor and if batting is problem replace Ryder with Vande Merwe.
